Is Assetto Corsa is playable on the Nvidia GeForce 930MX 2GB dedicated laptop GPU? Read my answer about AC on this old GPU below.

Yes, it is playable.

For the test I used my old HP ProBook G5 with the Intel Core i5-8250U and 16GB of dual-channel RAM, besides the 930MX.

In a nutshell, the racing game is very playable on 1080p resolution and medium settings, with the exception of reflections set to low, as shown here:

Assetto Corsa Nvidia GeForce 930MX 2GB Game Settings 1
Assetto Corsa Nvidia GeForce 930MX 2GB Game Settings 2 1024x576
Assetto Corsa Nvidia GeForce 930MX 2GB Game Settings 3 768x432
Assetto Corsa Nvidia GeForce 930MX 2GB Benchmark Results on 1080p Medium Settings 1024x576

Here are the results of the Assetto Corsa built-in benchmark for 1080p and the given settings, showing an average fps of 47.

The key for these very playable frame rates is to keep the Reflection Quality settings to low, instead of medium or higher. As an intensive graphics task, rendering reflections reduces fps very noticeably. For some extra fps, you can completely turn Reflection Quality off and additionally lower other settings.

Overall, Assetto Corsa isn’t a too demanding game, but being able to play this still popular 2014 racing title on the GeForce 930MX 2GB entry-level GPU from 2016 is success.
